Purpose of loan: I am looking to capitalize on knowing lots of realtors and mortgage lenders by starting a home- based gift basket business. I will be using the loan to buy some office equipment and inventory, plus a little extra to keep the business rolling until it can generate some positive cash flow. Starting a home based business will give me an opportunity to set my own hours, which is important because I am a new mom. I'm a sure bet: Right now I barely have my own income because I am staying at home with my 6 month old daughter and babysitting (Hence the horrible DTI). But my husband has a good job as a salesperson (makes 60k +), and we have no credit card debt. We just have the house payments (the home equity loan is what you see as the revolving credit balance) and two car payments. We do have savings, but I would prefer not to use it to start my business. |
